This year, the Mission Neighborhood Center, is proud to introduce ZONA VERDE -the GREEN ZONE Festival - as part of it’s Carnaval celebration. ZONA VERDE is an exciting and interactive educational event dedicated to bringing attention to environmental issues in a celebratory manner that reflects the spirit of Carnaval. This eco-friendly zone will spread over one city block (60,000 sq feet) making it the largest outdoor green event in the city’s history. I’ll be performing with Kismat-Mahal Kirtan Ensemble and the Spiral Dance Chorus.
